Agenda Annual Parish Meeting - March 2024
Dear Sir/Madam,
I hereby give you notice that the Annual Parish Meeting (Meeting of the Electorate) will be held on Tuesday 12 March 2024, 6.30pm - 8pm at the Methodist Church, Chapel Street, Ruskington, NG34 9DX. Please note, this is NOT a parish council meeting, but will be hosted by the Chairman of Council.
Representatives of the Environment Agency will be in attendance to listen to flooding concerns following the flood events in October 2023 and January 2024, and the Council’s Environment Caretaker will be demonstrating how Horseshoe Hollow acts as a flood defence for the village.
Light refreshments will be served before the meeting.
This will be immediately followed by a meeting of Ruskington Parish Council.

Agenda Annual Parish Meeting
1. Welcome and opening address – Cllr O Ditch (Chairman of Council).
2. To receive the notes of the Annual Parish Meeting held on 13 June 2023.
3. To receive the Chairman’s Annual Report for 2023-2024 from Cllr O Ditch.
4. To receive the Annual Report on behalf of North Kesteven District Council from D/Cllrs R Wright and M Waldeck, if available.
5. To receive the Annual Report on behalf of Lincolnshire County Council from Cty/Cllr R Wright, if available.
6. To receive questions from the public regarding Council business between 1 April 2023 and 31 March 2024, and to receive ideas for future village projects.
7. Guest speakers – Rachael McMahon and Stephanie Lynes from the Flood Resilience Team at the Environment Agency (Lincolnshire & Northamptonshire)
8. Demonstration of how Horseshoe Hollow acts as a flood defence for Ruskington – Mr Andrew Doughty (Council’s Environment Caretaker)
There will also be opportunity to visit the Environment Agency information stand, to meet your councillors, to find out about Council projects being planned for our village, and to respond to the Public Consultation for 2024.
