An unsafe wooden bridge spans a stream, surrounded by a lush green field under a clear blue sky.

A footbridge at the rear of Tomlinson Way in Ruskington has been reported as structurally unsafe.

Ruskington Parish Council has referred the matter to North Kesteven District Council, who are now investigating.

Initial checks show that the bridge is not currently maintained by either NKDC or Lincolnshire County Council. Ownership of the land is in the process of being registered with the Land Registry.

As a precaution, we have placed warning signs at the site advising residents not to use the bridge. It may not support weight and could collapse without warning.

We will update residents as soon as more information becomes available.
