The Environment Agency has informed Ruskington Parish Council that scheduled maintenance work will be taking place in our parish over the coming autumn months.
This work is part of their ongoing efforts to manage flood risk and maintain watercourses and flood defence assets.
What to Expect
You may see Environment Agency teams or their contractors:
- Carrying out operational checks on flood risk management assets
- Clearing debris from screens and watercourses
- Ensuring structures are functioning correctly to reduce flood risk
This work is essential to ensure that water can flow freely and that flood defences are ready to perform when needed. Please note that all maintenance is subject to environmental conditions and may change due to unforeseen circumstances.
