Here is a summary of the key items from the latest NKDC Parish & Town Council Newsletter that are relevant to residents in Ruskington.

These cover community services, events, changes to waste collection and opportunities for local involvement.

Heritage Grant Scheme

NKDC has increased its Heritage Grant Scheme fund, offering support for the repair and restoration of historic residential and commercial buildings. Grants cover works such as repairing brickwork, chimneys, windows, doors and traditional signage. This may benefit owners of older properties within Ruskington. More info here

Empty Homes – Referrals Welcome

The Council has returned 34 long‑term empty homes to use this year and continues to accept referrals. If you are aware of an empty property in the village, you may report it so NKDC can work with the owner to bring it back into use. Posters will be available for parish noticeboards. More info here

Council Tenants – Get Involved

Local NKDC tenants can take part in the “Menu of Involvement”, offering estate walks, surveys and community meetings. Tenants can also join the dedicated NKDC Housing Facebook group. Contact the Resident Engagement Team at tenant_participation@n-kesteven.gov.uk
