Ruskington Parish Council is pleased to share information from North Kesteven District Council (NKDC) regarding its ongoing Empty Homes Project.
Empty or derelict properties can have a real impact on neighbourhoods, from reducing the appearance of an area to limiting much‑needed housing availability. NKDC’s dedicated Empty Homes Officer can offer guidance and practical support to help owners return these properties to use more quickly. This may include specialist advice, access to support schemes, and help in identifying the most suitable next steps.
In the past year, NKDC has successfully helped owners bring a record number of empty homes back into use—supporting flourishing communities and ensuring valuable local assets are not left unused.
How Residents Can Help
- Do you have an empty property near you?
- Are you the owner of a long‑term empty home?
- Do you know someone who may need support bringing their property back into use?
If so, NKDC encourages you to get in touch. By reporting an empty property or seeking help as an owner, you can support improvements in housing availability, community wellbeing, and the appearance of our local area.
