Ruskington Parish Council is proud to announce a significant step towards a sustainable future with the successful installation of a roof-mounted solar PV system and linked battery storage.
This initiative is part of the Lincolnshire County Council's Zero Carbon Parishes project, aimed at reducing carbon emissions and promoting eco-friendly practices across the region.
In December 2023, Ruskington Parish Council, in collaboration with Lincolnshire County Council, embarked on this green journey with the installation of a 4.35 kW solar PV system coupled with a 5.2 kW battery storage unit. The project was made possible through a generous £5000 grant from Lincolnshire County Council, supplemented by the commitment of Ruskington Parish Council to cover the remaining costs.
The installation work was executed by Imp Electrical, a local company with a proven track record in sustainable energy projects. Matt and his team from Imp Electrical impressed the parish council with their professionalism, efficiency, and transparency throughout the entire process. Members of the parish council expressed their satisfaction, noting that they were consistently kept informed at every stage of the project.
