Info from LCC - Flooding can be scary, but knowing what to do makes a big difference. If you or someone you know is affected by flooding in Ruskington, here’s what you need to know:

In an Emergency

  • If there’s immediate danger to life, call 999 and ask for the Fire Service.

If Water Has Entered Your Home or Business

  • Homeowners: Contact your insurance company.
  • Private renters: Let your landlord know straight away.
  • Council tenants: Contact the district council’s housing team or visit Lincolnshire Resilience Forum.

If Water Is Likely to Enter Your Property

  • Try to get sandbags from a local supplier.
  • If you can’t, report your need on FixMyStreet or call 01522 782082 (online is quicker!).

Please note: The council doesn’t have a duty to provide sandbags, but they’ll do their best to help.
