NOTICE OF A MEETING OF THE HR COMMITTEE

Dear Councillor,

You are hereby summoned to attend a committee meeting of the HR committee for Ruskington Parish Council which will be held on Monday 21 November 2022 at 10.30am at Ruskington Parish Office, 7-9 High Street North, Ruskington, NG34 9DY. Members of the public and press are welcome to attend. Please contact the Clerk on clerk@ruskingtonpc.org.uk  in advance of the meeting to arrange this. All members of the HR Committee are summoned to attend for the purpose of considering and resolving upon the business to be transacted at the meeting, as set out hereunder.

Agenda

1. To receive and accept apologies where valid reasons for absence have been given to the Parish Clerk prior to the meeting.

2. To receive declarations of interest and to consider applications for dispensations in relation to DPIs.

3. To approve as a correct record the notes of the last HR Committee meeting held on 26 September 2022.

4. To consider ways to improve communication between the council and its non-admin staff.

5. To consider the requirement for a new caretaker role following the resignation of the caretaker for Buildings and Play Equipment.

   5.1. To agree the job title, working hours, pay scale and pay point for a new caretaker for recommending to Council, if a role is required.

6. To consider the appraisal forms for non-admin staff to ensure they are relevant and user friendly, as recommended by LALC’s HR adviser.

7. To consider employing or contracting a cleaner for servicing the offices at the back of the office once the offices are ready for use.

8. To receive the outcome of a health & safety audit and agree recommendations for making to Council.

9. To resolve whether to exclude the public and press, in accordance with the Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) Act 1960, to discuss the following staffing matters. Should this resolution be passed, members of the public and press will be required to leave the meeting. The meeting will end, and a further meeting of the Council will be convened immediately.

10. To review staff pay scales and pay points for fiscal year 2023-2024.

11. To consider the Clerk and RFO, as local government officers with local government (NJC) contracts, being enrolled into the Local Government Pension Scheme.

12. To receive updates on employee matters.
