Notice of a meeting of the Finance Committee
Dear Sir/Madam,
I hereby give you notice that a meeting of the Finance Committee of Ruskington Parish Council will be held on Monday 2 December 2024 at 6.30pm at Ruskington Parish Office, 7-9 High Street North, Ruskington, NG34 9DY. Members of the public and press are welcome to attend and may ask questions or make short statements to the Committee at this time.
All members of the Finance Committee are summoned to attend for the purpose of considering and resolving upon the business to be transacted at the meeting, as set out hereunder.

Agenda
1. To receive and accept apologies where valid reasons for absence have been given to the Parish Clerk prior to the meeting.
2. To receive declarations of interest and to consider applications for dispensations in relation to DPIs. Disclosure of Pecuniary and Non-Pecuniary Interests is to be in accordance with the Localism Act 2011 and to consider any applications for dispensations in relation to DPIs. The need for Disclosure is to be based upon agenda items or at any suitable time during the Meeting when it becomes apparent to a Member.
3. To approve as a correct record the notes of the last meeting held on 1 October 2024.
4. To receive the financial reports up to 31 October 2024.
5. To consider the auditor for undertaking the internal audits for 2024-2025 for recommending to Council at its meeting on 10 December 2024.
6. To review current bank charges and consider alternative banking options for recommending to Council at its meeting on 10 December 2024.
7. To consider/ agree the budget requirements for FY2023-2024 for recommending to Council at its next meeting on 10 December 2024.
8. To consider/agree the precept requirements for year 2025-2026 for recommending to Council at its next meeting on 10 December 2025.
9. To confirm the date of the next Finance Committee meeting as Tuesday 7 January 2025 at 6.30pm at the Parish Office. (This meeting is to finalise the budget and precept for FY 2025-2026 for recommending to Council at its meeting on Tuesday 14 January 2025.)
10. To resolve whether to exclude the public and press, in accordance with the Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) Act 1960, to discuss the staffing matters below. Should this resolution be passed, members of the public and press will be required to leave the meeting. The meeting will end, and a further meeting of the Committee will be convened immediately.
11. To consider staff pay for FY 2025-2026. (Information previously circulated. including the increase in employer NI contributions from 1 April 2025).
11.1. To consider the RFO’s pay scale FY 2025-2026.
12. To consider council’s contributions to pensions for all eligible staff for FY 2025-2026. (Information previously circulated).
