You are hereby summoned to attend a meeting of the HR Committee for Ruskington Parish Council which will be held on Wednesday 21 August 2024 at 11am at Ruskington Parish Office, 7-9 High Street North, Ruskington, NG34 9DY. Members of the public and press are welcome to attend. Please contact the Clerk on clerk@ruskingtonpc.org.uk in advance of the meeting to arrange this. All members of the HR Committee are summoned to attend for the purpose of considering and resolving upon the business to be transacted at the meeting, as set out hereunder.

1. To receive and accept apologies where valid reasons for absence have been given to the Parish Clerk prior to the meeting.
2. To receive declarations of interest and to consider applications for dispensations in relation to DPIs.
3. To approve as a correct record the notes of the last HR Committee meeting held on 9 July 2024.
4. To review the following policies: -
4.1. Draft Equality and Diversity Policy.
4. 2. Draft Councillor, Officer and Employee Relationship Policy
5. To resolve whether to exclude the public and press, in accordance with the Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) Act 1960, to discuss the following contractual and staffing matters. Should this resolution be passed, members of the public and press will be required to leave the meeting. The meeting will end, and a further meeting of the Council will be convened immediately.
6. To receive information on staff health and welfare.
7. To receive an update on the fixed term amendments to eligible staff contracts regarding occupational sick pay.
8. To consider the vacancy for a Parish Caretaker.
8.1 To agree the job title, job description, working hours, pay scale and pay point for a new caretaker for recommending to Council, if a role is required.
9. To review staff NJC pay scale points and pay for FY 2025-2026 (The pay award for 2024-2025 has yet to be agreed by the Government and unions.)

10. To review pension contributions for eligible staff for FY 2025-2026
10.1. To consider changing the pension provider for eligible employees to the Local Government Pension Scheme to ensure protection of pension contributions.
11. To agree the date for the next HR Committee meeting.
