NOTICE OF A MEETING OF THE HR COMMITTEE

Dear Councillor,

You are hereby summoned to attend a meeting of the HR Committee for Ruskington Parish Council which will be held on Tuesday 2 December 2025 at 12 noon at Ruskington Parish Office, 7-9 High Street North, Ruskington, NG34 9DY. Members of the public and press are welcome to attend. All members of the HR Committee are summoned to attend for the purpose of considering and resolving upon the business to be transacted at the meeting, as set out hereunder.

Agenda

1. To receive and accept apologies where valid reasons for absence have been given to the Parish Clerk prior to the meeting.

2. To receive declarations of interest and to consider applications for dispensations in relation to DPIs.

3.  To approve as a correct record the notes of the last HR Committee meeting held on 20 October 2025.

4. To confirm a date and time for the next HR Committee meeting, if required, and consider any items for the agenda.

   4.1. To agree the date for the annual HR Committee meeting for 2026.

 

5.  To resolve whether to exclude the public and press, in accordance with the Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) Act 1960, to discuss the staffing matters below. Should this resolution be passed, members of the public and press will be required to leave the meeting. The meeting will end, and a further meeting of the Council will be convened immediately.

 

6. To consider any comments received from Councillors to the draft letter to staff, and amend the letter as required for recommending to Council.

 

7. To consider correspondence from a staff member concerning their pay scale.

 

8. To agree the HR Committee member/s to conduct consultations with staff members regarding proposed changes to their job descriptions. (The Clerk will also be present.)

 

9. To consider the requirement for a third caretaker and make any recommendations to Council at its meeting on 9 December 2025.

 

10. To consider enrolling the Clerk, RFO, and eligible staff members in to the Local Government Pension Scheme.

   10.1. To consider Council’s contribution to staff pensions for FY 2026-2027, in view of reserves and financial information, and agree any amendments for recommending to Council its meeting on 9 December 2025.
