Dear Sir/Madam,
I hereby give notice that a meeting of the Events Committee of Ruskington Parish Council will be held on Thursday 8 January 2026 at 6.30pm at Ruskington Parish Office, 7-9 High Street North, Ruskington, NG34 9DY. Members of the public and press are welcome to attend and may ask questions or make short statements to the Committee during the Public Session. Alternatively, questions or statements can be submitted to the Clerk prior to the meeting.
All members of the Events Committee are summoned to attend for the purpose of considering and resolving upon the business to be transacted at the meeting, as set out hereunder.

Agenda
1. To receive and accept apologies where valid reasons for absence have been given to the Parish Clerk prior to the meeting.
2. To receive declarations of interest and to consider applications for dispensations in relation to DPIs. Disclosure of Pecuniary and Non-Pecuniary Interests is to be in accordance with the Localism Act 2011 and to consider any applications for dispensations in relation to DPIs. The need for Disclosure is to be based upon agenda items or at any suitable time during the meeting when it becomes apparent to a member.
3. To approve as a correct record the notes of the last meeting held on 7 November 2025.
4. May Day Event
4.1. To discuss and agree date and venue for the event in May.
4.2. To review the draft letters to be sent to the following recipients:
a. Ruskington Scouts
b. Charity Shop
c. Fire Brigade
d. Postcombe Pottery
e. Winchelsea Primary School Choir
f. St Johns Ambulance
4.3. To agree any actions and expenditure required for the event before the next meeting.
5. To discuss other events scheduled for 2026/27 and agree any actions if required.
6. To review the conditions of the gambling license and bingo events as received by NKDC and consider recommendation to apply for the license to full council.
7. To review feedback from Remembrance Day 2025 and consider recommendations and expenditure for 2026.
8. To review feedback from the Christmas lights and consider recommendations and expenditure for Christmas 2026.
9. To consider any expenditure required for events and equipment for informing the budget for FY 2026-2027.
10. To agree the dates and times for the next Event Committee meeting(s).
